An essential player of the world chemical sector, Arkema regards innovation as one of the driving forces behind its development.
Arkema could therefore not ignore the fascinating and promising world of nanotechnologies, and so in 2003 launched an R&D program on carbon nanotubes. Since 2006, Arkema has had its own multiwall carbon nanotube production facility, and now offers a wide range of products under the trademark Graphistrength®.
In line with its firm commitment to sustainable development, Arkema is also developing a production process for its Graphistrength® multiwall carbon nanotubes from a renewable carbon source, namely agricultural ethanol. Arkema is a groundbreaker in this field.
