Carbon nanotubes fibers

In the field of fibers, Arkema actively conducts research in conjunction with CNRS (National Center for Scientific Research) in France.

 

The resulting fibers show exceptional breaking energy, in excess of that of the best synthetic fibers normally used in ballistic protection, or of the spider silk which up to now had held every record.

 

Arkema focuses on the pilot production of these fibers, and launches research programs aimed at integrating them into tomorrow's civil and military applications.
